Evidence-based TMIY session

This past weekend, we reviewed very interesting information about how cultural and societal trends and patterns affect what we do.  We might not realize how much our decisions and behavior are impacted by the greater societal trends seen over the many years.

The TMIY session was helpful to understand why our minds and hearts need to be focused on God's hope and God's light.  Without God, we live without hope, we live without light, and we live without love.  With God, we have hope, light, and love.

It might not seem that your one decision might impact someone - but it can.  And it will - if you continue to cling to the truth that was revealed: you are greatly loved by God.  Pray for your family, friends, work environment, neighbors.  Pray for the people that give you a hard time.  Pray for the people that don't think much of you.  Pray for all and in all, see God's plan taking shape.

Thank you to all the men of the Saint Luke TMIY program, we had another great turnout this weekend and looking forward to next weekend.

TMIY Opening Day!

Thank you to the men that attended our first Saint Luke TMIY session this morning.  We had about 100 men show up this morning - a great start!

We followed the formula for measuring success (and avoiding pitfalls) as provided by the TMIY team.  We gained by following the structure of the program  - thank you TMIY team!  There are some processes that we will be improving as we continue to roll-out our sessions.  The hours of preparation by the Saint Luke TMIY Core team showed this morning - thank you to each of the men that woke up at "O dark 30" this morning to deliver a quality program that started on time and ended on time - and that provided a faith-filled experience for each of our men.

We were blessed to have Fr. P deliver a great message and prayer at the beginning of our session.  There are many reasons to NOT want to participate in our program but only ONE reason to want to participate: to share and show God's love.  This morning we celebrated God's love in a meaningful way, in an impactful way.

Please continue to keep the TMIY Program here at Saint Luke's in your prayers - we really believe that a strong man of faith translates into a strong family of faith, a strong community of faith, and a strong parish of faith.  Please don't hesitate to get more information about our program or to contact us here: http://www.saintlukemclean.org/tmiy.html.

T minus 2 days

The TMIY Core team has been busy.  This past weekend we had another after-Mass speaking opportunity at each of our masses.  We heard great feedback from our our parish community and we were signed up more men.  Thanks be to God for the continued inspiration that is raining upon our parish.

Last night, we had our dress rehearsal and tightened up our messaging, team approach, and a few of our processes.  We're doing this because we are cognizant and aware that we want each man to have a spiritual experience and want to come back next week.  Most of our small group team leads have already sent a message to each man that has signed up - so if you have signed up but haven't heard anything yet, please don't hesitate to contact us at tmiysaintlukemclean@gmail.com.

Please continue to keep the TMIY Program here at Saint Luke's in your prayers - we really believe that a strong man of faith translates into a strong family of faith, a strong community of faith, and a strong parish of faith.

T minus 10 days and counting...

Thank you to the many men who have signed up for the That Man Is You! (TMIY) program here at Saint Luke Church in McLean, VA.  And thank you to the many wives, sisters, mothers, grandmothers, and aunts who continue to support us and who continue to pray for us.  We need those prayers!

We wouldn't be anywhere near our start without the support of Fr. Martin and the other priests at Saint Luke Church - thank you to each of you for taking the time to speak so eloquently about the program.  We look forward to becoming a recognized program here at Saint Luke's and your help has been tremendous.

The TMIY core team has been meeting throughout the summer.  We've gone through the TMIY material and we've gone through the TMIY training.  We're ready for a good start of the program on Sept 15.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us at tmiysaintlukemclean@gmail.com
